cartoonist, contributed to Melbourne Punch signing work 'AB’, e.g. Better Than Nothing . 'The Yan Yean is very bad, and Jones cannot afford a regular filter. However, the use of a sieve gets rid of the chief impurities’ 1 April 1886 (ill. Fabian, 101). There is some speculation that A.B. might be the artist Alfred Scott Broad .
