Sketcher, drew an undated Sketch of Fort Dundas, Port Cockburn, Melville Island which carries the inscription: 'For Sir Thos. Brisbane KCB with Captn Bremer’s best compliments’. It must therefore date from 1824 when (Sir) James John Gordon Bremer established his ill-fated trading post on Melville Island, northern Australia.
