Born c.1920 in the vicinity of Warlukurlangu, where his father was also born. He was Warlpiri and lived at Walilinypa, an outstation of Yuendumu, with his wife Carol Gallagher . Walilinypa is in the area of Warlukurlangu, also associated with the Fire Dreaming which he painted, often in collaboration with his wife. Their Warlukurlangu Jukurrpa 1986 is in the National Gallery of Australia collection. He began painting for Warlukurlangu Artists in the mid ’80s.
