NSW sculptor Lawrence Beck is active member of the arts community who has organised several sculpture symposia around NSW. He was the artist responsible for carving the memorial sculpture for Fred Hollows' grave in Bourke in north-western NSW.

sculptor, lives Koolawong, NSW. Organised Broken Hill Sculpture Symposium (in honour of Fred Hollows) in 1993 and also Wondabyne I and II Sculptors’ Symposia in the Brisbane Waters area. Carved the memorial sculpture for Fred Hollows’ grave at Bourke. Has also created busts of Nugget Coombs, 1986 (auctioned by the ANU in 1998) and of Lloyd Rees outside Sydney Town Hall.
