Born near Mt Doreen c. 1950, Mary Brown is a Pintupi/Warlpiri speaker who lived at Nyirrpi before moving to Kintore. She paints Bush Tomato Dreaming for her country, which is east of Lake Mackay. She has been painting since the late ’80s, when she joined other Nyirrpi artists in 1989 in doing a painting on the school wall.
