illustrator, drew humorous colour illustrations to accompany an article on the Australian Republic referendum, published in the Weekend Australian of 8-9 October 1999, pp15 & 18: e.g. woman walking her poodle past a department store window displaying hats from 'GERMANY’, 'AMERICA’, 'INDIA’ and 'AUSTRIA’ and a banner advertising 'REPUBLIC SALE’ – the woman having just purchased the hat labelled 'AUSTRALIA’; a cow draped in the Australian flag, and a jackeroo wearing an Akubra and a Dryzabone holding a pot of 'REPUBLIC BLUE’ paint in process of painting over the Union Jack.
