Born in Sydney in 1885, Pendril C. Blacket was the son of Cyril Blacket , an artist who exhibited with the Royal Art Society of NSW in the 1880s.

Pendrill C. Blacket fought in the Great War and after the conflict became an artist, describing himself as a 'Silhouettist’. In the catalogue for the 40th annual show of the Royal Art Society of NSW in 1919 (p.63), Blacket had a full page advertisement advertising an 'Exhibition of Silhouettes’ at the Studio, 5 Bond Street, Sydney. The large silhouette of a (possibly) bearded man, included in this advertisement, may be William Lister Lister , then president of the Royal Art Society, or perhaps the artist himself.

As well as being a silhouettist, Blacket was an apiarist and at one time edited The Australian Beekeeper . In 1934 he wrote a book titled Talks to beginners in Beekeeping , (T. Dimmock Ltd, West Maitland, NSW).
