commercial artist and cartoonist, drew illustrations in the Australian Women’s Weekly especially to accompany romantic stories (e.g. couple in one another’s arms, ill. Lindesay WWW, 133). He also did advertisements and covers for the Weekly , movie promotions and 'humorous art’ for the Bulletin and other journals. After three years in America and a period of freelancing in Australia, when he continued to contribute to the Weekly on a casual basis, he re-joined the Weekly in 1937.
