Maintainer Roles

A maintainer has many jobs, but if they want to just browse biographies or author or review a biography, then they simply navigate to the main, author or reviewer sections. Functions that a maintainer may fulfil are listed below:

  • select claimed projects from list (appoint or clear)
  • appoint reviewer (->'Peer_Review')
  • read a biography
  • create metadata schema from a biography (in Manager_Clear2 or Public_View states)
  • minor correctional changes to biography text (or metadata schema)
  • list reviewers
  • search reviewers
  • add a member to reviewer register with default values
  • remove a member from reviewer register
  • create a new user
  • reset a user password
  • change user details (status, category, username, email)

Criteria for role

This is a remunerated role. Appointment is based on merit selection.

Principles

  • Respect for original research
  • Protect anonymity of reviewer

Conflict of interest

With respect to conflicts of interest, board and other members should take measures to avoid any situation in which they may have a conflict of interest arising out of their relationship with another member, financial and other interests. Members who are unable to resolve or avoid a conflict of interest should disclose that conflict of interest to their supervisor, consider the advice of the supervisor and if necessary decline to act.
