Note: Still life oil on canvas - one of her early career works painted in 1915 when she was just 20 years old. It is a beautiful yet austere oil painting in muted greys. It depicts a luncheon scene with a grey porcelain water jug, a loaf of bread, some cheese and a stick of celery. As a young woman, this was her daily ritual, sharing a humble meal of bread and cheese with her spiritual and deeply devoted family.
