Warlpiri/Anmatyerre artist, her early collaborative works drew attention to the painting movement in Yuendumu (NT) at its beginnings in the mid '80s. Her work is held in major public and private art collections, including the South Australian Museum.
Born c.1941, she is Warlpiri/Anmatyerre and her country is Coniston station and Mt Allan area. She is one of the senior Yuendumu women whose powerful collaborative works in the mid ’80s first drew attention to Warlukurlangu Artists, for whom she now paints occasionally. Her work was first exhibited in Warlukurlangu Artists’ exhibition at the Sydney Opera House in 1987. Her Dreamings include Ngatijirri (Budgerigar), Marlu (Kangaroo), Owl, Ngarlajiyi (Bush Yam), Yanyinlingi (Sugar leaf) and Native Fuschia.
