Sketcher and designer, in 1867 Anderson designed a memorial for Burke and Wills that was erected in Ballarat, Victoria. A resident of Ballarat for a number of years, in 1867 Anderson was also listed as the drawing master at Ballarat College, where he is said to have also taught French and German.
