One of Australia's best known graphic and poster artists, Douglas Annand also had a distinguished career as a camouflage artist during the Second World War. As a member of the Camouflage Committee formed by the Ministry of Home Security, Annand was instrumental in developing new techniques for camouflage in Australia.

    Description

    First contains material taken from Annand’s Killara studio after he died: ideas, sketches, catalogues, designs for murals, posters and textiles, & objects relating to Annand’s architectural commissions of the 1950s and 60s. The second includes catalogues, notebooks, drawings, photographs, posters & correspondence relating to most of the projects undertaken during his career. Also: artworks & textile, metal & glass objects.
