Waddell trained in painting but according to an offering by Lawsons Auctioneers in March 2025, she did not exhibit her work publicly. She also taught painting in her home in Avoca NSW. The Lawsons sale shows paintings (oil and w/c) and compositions undertaken in the open air. The works have remained in her family until this auction.
