Joy Roggenkamp was a significant watercolour artist in Brisbane during the 1960s and 1970s. The vigour and dash of her execution lays claim to a national significance. Her great success was at the Art Gallery of New South Wales where she was awarded the Trustee's Watercolour Prize in 1962 and Pring Prizes in 1966 and 1967.
