Kezia Hayter

An employee of the Millbank Penitentiary, she was a passenger aboard the Rajah which sailed from Greenwich on 1841 transporting convicts to Van Dieman's Land (Tasmania). Hayter is believed to have been the instigator and supervisor of the The Rajah Quilt, which was created en route by the female convicts.
