Edwards was a photographer and a lecturer in fine arts with a specialty in 19th century realist artists publishing monographs on the British artists Hubert von Herkomer and Frederick Walker. She was also a practising photographer exhibiting in the United States and Australia. She was represented by Maunsell Wickes, Sydney.
