Designer who was a student at Claremont Technical School, Perth under Cecil Ross. It is probable that he was an apprentice at the time as they were encouraged or required to attend art school as part of their course. He became a designer of jewellery for Caris Bros. From the 1950s until 1963 he taught silver-smithing and metalwork in the new post-war courses at Fremantle Technical School.
