ornamental and scene-painter, assisted John Hennings in 1862 to decorate the ceiling of the new Haymarket Theatre in Melbourne with paintings of the Four Seasons copied from Thorvaldson, and in 1867 to redecorate the ceiling of the Theatre Royal. He also assisted other Melbourne scene-painters, including Harry Grist for the pantomime The Heathen Chinee; or, Harlequin Bluebeard at the Academy of Music for Christmas 1876.
