Shirley Amos b. 1949

Shirley Amos, a self-taught painter works from her home in Tasmania. Her paintings speak of her own Aboriginal heritage, Aboriginal issues and identity. She has exhibited with the Indigenous art collective Boomalli since 1993 and in 2001 she was the first Indigenous artist to have a solo show at Gosford Regional Gallery on the NSW Central Coast.
