Stephen Spurling b. 1821

  • Artist (Photographer)
A better photographer than businessman, Stephen Spurling was admired for his sensitive portraits. An album containing some of his work so impressed the Duke of Edinburgh on his visit to Tasmania in 1868 that the latter requested a duplicate be made for the Queen.
