Cartoonist and soldier, drew WWII cartoons in 1941-48 when he was a sergeant in the 2/2nd Field Regiment. Five items of correspondence on Liddy’s contribution to various journals, including the Australian Journal, Parade and the Militia Monthly, are in the Australian War Memorial, along with some of his original cartoons (AAWM PR85/ 154).
