Woodcarver and upholsterer who was the son of Hookam and Hannah both born in India and who had arrived with Morley in 1829. Chan is listed in the 1884-89 Almanacks as an upholsterer and woodcarver. In 1891 he was in Perth, by 1895-97 he was in Newcastle Street and he altered his name to Tchan. He served in Boer War.
