Alice Panton was a painter best known for her portraiture. In the early 1920s Panton drove from Adelaide to Perth by car, reputedly the first woman to perform this feat.
painter, was born in Victoria, probably at Castlemaine, one of the two daughters of Joseph Anderson Panton (1831-1913), police magistrate and painter, and Eleanor Margaret, née Fulton.
