painter, commercial artist and teacher, was born in Ashford, Kent, on 4 March 1887. He contributed illustrations to English magazines before coming to Perth in 1915. From 1921 he produced 15 coloured woodcuts and posters advertising Australia for the Empire Marketing Board.
