A landscape painter of the 1890s, a photograph of Beatrice Boldeman's work is held in the Mitchell Library. The oil on board painting, 'Marysville, Victoria" is similar to the steel engraving of the same name by W. Forrest after Nicholas Chevalier that is also in the Mitchell Library collection.
landscape painter, was active in Melbourne c.1895. A black and white photograph of her oil-on-board painting, Marysville, Victoria 1891, is in the Mitchell Library [ML] (SPF/Marysville, Vic). Boldeman’s painting (23.2 × 30.8 sm) is similar to the steel engraving Marysville, Victoria by W. Forrest after Nicholas Chevalier . It too is now in ML (SSV2B/Mary/1), having been purchased from Sotheby’s (London) auction on 1 November 1973, lot 99.
