Painter, exhibited flower studies at the 6th, 7th and 8th annual exhibitions of the Victorian Academy of Arts in 1876, 1877 and 1878. Presumably all her flower paintings look very similar as David Thomas suggested that her oil on canvas vase of flowers with shells, inscribed lower right 'Painted/ by/ C. Strelein/ Melbourne/ 1876’ and offered by Deutscher-Menzies on 1 May 2002, lot 188 (ill. col. est. $1,500-2,000), may be cat.107 Flowers VAA cat. 1876 sold by Deutscher in 28 April-23 May 1980 and illustrated in the catalogue (no.66).
