sketcher, was the eldest daughter of Rev. Thomas Hassall and Ann, n é e Marsden . Catherine made a pencil sketch of New Government House, Sydney , probably in 1844 or 1845 (Mitchell Library). She married Robert Culbertson Hope on 12 August 1846 and they had nine sons and two daughters.
