Sketcher and newspaperman from England, brother of John Burdett Wittenoom, the first clergyman appointed to Western Australia. He produced sketches of WA, representing the countryside before convict labour altered the landscape. The drawings were turned into engravings for Nathaniel Ogle's influential book, 'The Colony of Western Australia: A Manual for Emigrants 1839'.
