painter, exhibited A Sea Piece in the second exhibition of the Society for the Promotion of the Fine Arts in Australia at Sydney in 1849. This was called 'a picturesque little bit of coast with boats, very clearly painted and highly creditable to an amateur’, in the Sydney Morning Herald of 16 June 1849.
