Late 20th century Queensland political cartoonist, Ledwich became a prolific Union-Media cartoonist in Brisbane after drawing cartoons for the University of Queensland's student newspaper Semper Floreat.

cartoonist, did cartoons for the University of Queensland’s student newspaper Semper Floreat , then became a prolific Union-Media cartoonist in Brisbane (Jo Holder). Cartoons signed 'D.L.’ are included in Kaz Cooke (ed.), Beyond a Joke: The Anti-Bicentenary Cartoon Book (Penguin Books, 1988), pp. 37 ( The legend of the Second Fleet ), 78 ( Blanket Solutions ). Left cartoons by Brisbane’s Toad Holdings – Cane Toad Times (?) – run by Robbie (Robert) White and Damien Ledwich, who have done many comics eg. Robin of Sherlock and Labor Party.
