Cartoonist, illustrated Bring on the Dancing Men and other verses by Roslyn Taylor (b.1925), a collection of humorous poems with outrageous rhymes similar to Pam Ayres (as one cited reviewer noted). Some of Tier’s illustrations are reminiscent of the slight and scratchy Punch style; one of the best is the illustration to 'Standards’ – about the physical appearance of men who excel never being mentioned while a woman’s looks come before anything she does. It shows a woman riding a camel with a paper bag over her head (p.15).
Taylor’s previous collection, Please don’t ask me to your Tupperware party Sharleen , 1985, was also illustrated by Tier.
