The name Edwards was mistakenly attributed to lithographs and watercolours which are now known to have been by Robert Russell. No Edwards is otherwise known to have worked in Sydney at this time.
sketcher, was said to have had two watercolours published as lithographs in 1834 by J. G. Austin : 'One representing the light-house, and the other the monument to La Perouse’s memory, erected in the time of Sir Thomas Brisbane… The cost is 5s each; they make a pretty addition to the Port-folio’. They must be the Austin lithographs convincingly attributed to Robert Russell through comparison with Russell’s known drawings for Austin’s 1836 Views . No Edwards is otherwise known to have worked in Sydney at this time and the name was probably a mistake.
