Seated somewhere between representation and abstraction, my work treads both observed and metaphorical territories. There is always some sense of an allegorical journey accompanying a process-based struggle in my work; be it landscape or figurative. A battle between formative understandings and impulsive gut actions and feelings takes place. I ask what media is available to me and what I can push that media into saying.

'Corpus Couture: Hounen Pudendum’ playfully fashions genitalia as wearable adornment. The intimate ‘pubic’ becomes ’public’ spectacle to scrutinise proposed physical and metaphoric boundaries of the body in relation to dress, visual culture and physical space.
