Commercial artist and painter who may have worked at Gibbneys. She had studied part time from 1931. Her husband was Allon Cook, painter and vigneron. They had a son, the artist Phillip Cook.

In 1934 she exhibited a drawing, Mr Hurley, and a watercolour, Iris, of her friend Iris Francis with the West Australian Society of Arts. In 1935 the painter and critic George Benson wrote of her work, “Bessie Saunders, a young girl student shows a promising portrait, Mr Jacobsen“.
