painter and découpagist , showed an oil painting, The Ascension of Christ (after Raphael Mengs) , at the 1856 Victorian Exhibition of Art and was listed in the catalogue as a resident artist of St David Street, Collingwood. The painting was lent to the 1869 Melbourne Public Library exhibition by Mrs J.G. Franke (mother?), together with F.G.'s Tiger Hunting , On the Nile , Plantation, West Indies and Landscape – four works 'cut in paper’.
