Bulgarian born George Doukoff, living in Brisbane, has developed a new chair , the 'Volkschair’, which has been praised as an aid to posture by the Queensland State Health Authorities. Mr Doukoff learned furniture making in Sofia, Bulgaria. Later he went to Hungary and Belgium before migrating to Australia in 1951. He is married to a Hungarian chemist whom he met in Germany. She works at her profession in Brisbane. Doukoff is now a naturalized Australian.
