Mr George William Gregory b. 19 October 1832

He was born in London and had been in the colony 45 years, 38 of which he had spent in Goulburn. On first arriving in New South Wales he was employed in the mint, but left there to go on a goldfield. After an interval of a few years he made his home in Goulburn, where he had carried on a fancy goods shop until his death. He combined photographing with his other business in the 1860s.
