King Furniture was founded in Sydney in 1977 by the King family. Initially, the furniture sold through a city marketplace later moving to a King Furniture Showroom in Sydney. Working from a manufacturing base initially in Camperdown, now offshore, the firm commissions furniture designs from notable designers. Their markets are domestic and international and received national design awards since 1985.
