professional photographer, worked in Melbourne as 'Daguerrean & Photographic Artists’. The firm was at 57 Collins Street East in 1857 and at 234 Bourke Street West in 1858, according to the Melbourne Directory . His photograph, Aborigines of Victoria , was engraved on wood by Nicholas Chevalier .
