cartoonist and airman, served with the Australian airforce in Canada during WWII, during which time he drew cartoons about life as a serviceman. A surviving sketchbook illustrates various events on his way home in 1944, e.g. 'The boys at #8 gave us a send-off – Saturday Sept. 16th/44’.
