Born near Kulkurta, south of Kiwirrkura, he was the brother of Anatjari Tjakamarra . Arriving in Papunya from the desert in the ’60s, he was present when painting started in 1971. He may have painted in the early 1970s before moving to Warakurna, where he lived until the early ’80s. He then joined the move back to the Pintupi homelands and settled at Kintore and later Kiwirrkura. An occasional painter for Papunya Tula Artists.
