James Guppy b. 1954

James Guppy emigrated from London to Australia in 1982. Prior to this he lectured in visual arts at Lancaster University and Lancaster Annex of Preston Polytechnic, as well as painting numerous public murals. His paintings can be described as magical realist or illusionist, and he explores issues of mystery within the domestic.
