sketcher, was the second of the six children of William Rogers, a builder and mason from Cornwall, and Elizabeth Ann, née Wright. She won a 2-guinea prize for the best original picture by a young lady in the South Australian Society of Arts 1865 exhibition at Adelaide; her older sister Margaret Elizabeth (q.v.) won second prize. Jane married a Mr Bright on 26 May 1874.
