John Degotardi b. 1823

Degotardi, an Austrian ex-pat, arrived in Australia in 1853 and worked in numerous printing houses in Sydney. Later in his career, he became interested in photography. His panoramic views of Sydney and the surrounding country won him many awards and recognition.
