Pintupi artist based at Tjukurla and Kintore. John John Bennett painted for Papunya Tula Artists from the mid '80s with a long break while he lived in Tjukurla. His work is in the Holmes à Court collection.
A Pintupi speaker, Tjapangati’s country was Mukulurru, north of Docker River, the southernmost place visited by Tingari people; also Kulkuta, west of Lake McDonald, Western Australia, another important site on the Tingari route. He began painting for Papunya Tula Artists in the mid ’80s after the Pintupi move back to Kintore. Residence formerly Kintore, then south at Tjukurla, then again at Kintore.
