“Form, colour, line, composition – these are the means of visual expression. But, as Kandinsky has said, ‘The artist must have something to say, for mastery over form is not his goal but rather the adapting of form to its inner meaning.’ (Kandinsky, W. Concerning the Spiritual in Art, NY: Dover, 1977, p.154). My pictures are intended to be carriers of meaning, at times multilayered. They are mainly figurative, often symbolic, metaphorical, allegorical, occult, surreal and/or metaphysical. By exploring various states of consciousness (such as dreaming, or various levels reached in meditation), I utilize images to express inner truths ”.
