“2012 has been a year of professional growth. It has seen my emergence as an artist in the Tasmanian arts community after gaining BCA (Hons.) at the University of Tasmania in 2011. This year I have focused on experiencing and learning aspects of the business and administrative processes required to underpin an arts career and testing these skills by applying to ARI’s to exhibit my works and applying to various art prizes. I was successful in organising a self funded exhibition of my own work at the Sidespace Gallery, Salamanca Arts Centre in June 2012. In addition, my works were selected for Sawtooth ARI‟s – Clean Living show as part of Establishment program conducted by CAST and …come to life, a QVMAG and CAST joint exhibition, currently showing in Launceston until 2013. “ Artist Text
