Born c.1935 'in the bush’ near Jupiter Well, Lucy Loomoo is a Wangkatjunka tribeswoman and one of the senior women at Balgo from the far Western Desert area. Her country is Jupiter Well and west to the Canning Stock Route. She began painting for Warlayirti Artists in 1988. According to Warlayirti Arts coordinator Michael Rae, “Her powerful paintings, which usually depict Tingari Dreamings, exhibit a strongly 'traditional’ look and speak of the food and water sources in her country and of the associated Women’s Law.” She also painted for Papunya Tula Artists while visiting her daughter in Kiwirrkura.
