Photographer based in Sydney who has worked with a range of actors in motion pictures, television, theatre and live performance, as well as creative professionals in the fine art and commercial industries. As a child he was fascinated by his father’s Super 8 camera, and his earliest memories are of film projection nights at home with his family.
After completing his Honours degree at the College of Fine Arts in Sydney in 2012, Stambouliah staged an exhibition of faceless portraits in the Richard Wherrett Studio at the Sydney Theatre Company. Subsequently he has worked in New York and Los Angeles, for instance on a GQ magazine cover shoot of Heidi Klum with British fashion photographer RANKIN.
Stambouliah is also in pre-production for a film directorial debut ‘Sept Seductions’ about the death of 35mm film.
